Blogging About Blogging Again
You might have noticed that I had been posting articles about blogging lately. Such postings are against the advice of some bloggers for me to stick to topics related to i-café business whose stakeholders are my target audience when I begun blogging two and a half (2-1/2) years ago. Until about six (6) months ago, this blog has “Owning An I-Café” for its title and except for some articles about blogging where I tried to entice i-café owners to go into blogging as a possible source of additional income, I discussed mainly about i-café business.
I-café owners who are capable of blogging have more than even chance of success because they are always online and have the time to research and write about the topics of their blogs. Aside from the bloggers themselves, i-café owners can be regular readers of blogs that could catch their interest. It is because of these reasons why I have a sub-category on blogging since the beginning. However, as of my last reckoning, there were just very few i-café owners who dared to venture into blogging.
Blogs about blogging abound because bloggers are ready target for readership which every blogger hopes to get. New bloggers are always in need of new knowledge on how to improve their craft so those engaged in this niche have a ready audience. It is just a matter of getting their confidence and you are sure to have repeat visitors to your blog.
I decided to blog again about blogging after having enough experience and knowledge to share about the craft. I am not a technical person so I cannot discuss details about SEO, so if you’d like you can visit the SERPninja blogs and learn all about it.. However, I can share what I know about earning from blogging, blog promotion and advertising and other non-technical matters about blogging.
Certainly, Blogging has aroused my interest well as it has somewhat fulfilled my frustrated ambition to be a journalist. It’s a marked improvement on my passion of sending messages to INBOX WORLD of the Philippine STAR. Of course, earning some money from Blogging will be an added incentive.
So you have started blogging about blogging once again.I didn’t understand Edzee are you lacking of content or keywords for which you made this I-Cafe blog.I think you can add some related keywords and content which could be interesting for your niche reader.Just what they love to see in any blog while blogging, while they want to earn, while they have any technical problem. You can just researching for that and should supply the content by your own or Suggest some content from any other sites.
Hi Manas,
Thanks for the visit and the comment.
What do you mean? You want me to blog about “keywords” and other content that may interest my niche readers? I already said in this article that I am not a technical person and as such I cannot write some blogging topics like SEO and the like.
Also, if I may say, I do not want to write about something that I cannot competently explain. There are already enough number of bloggers tackling the technical side of blogging so all that new bloggers have to do is google for what they want to know.
Hello Edz, I am here again disturbing your quiet time with your apo (given the time that you read this while at school).
I would like to ask a question again if permitted so. This is with regards to the “Tags”. How important those tags be if I am going to put them in my sidebar. Whatever value does it have, I want to know them even if it has lesser effect to my blog.
Thanks.
For me, tags in WordPress are not as important as they are in Blogger. WordPress has Categories which Blogger does not have. As navigational aid, tags can also help so I use them although I do not show them in widgets. Actually, I read somewhere that very few readers use tag widgets (even tag clouds) anymore especially if a blog has plenty of tags already.
By the way, I don’t see tags in your blog posts? I suggest that you put at least two (2) tags on each post. I prefer two-word tags instead of single words and they should be different from your blog categories.
