Celebrating This Blog’s First Anniversary

1st_B-dayToday is the first anniversary of Owning A Cafe and I would like to celebrate it by putting on record the statistics it gathered and recognitions it received on its first year of existence. I will also put my birthday wishes for it this year. I hope you will join me in celebrating this special day by putting your comments on anything you find appreciable on this blog. While I am always trying to do my best in satisfying all of my readers, I also know that my site can still stand a lot of improvement for it to stay long in the blogosphere. Feel free also to write the additions and deletions that my blog need and I will appreciate just like the praises that some of you had already made.

From January 11, 2009 to this day, I had posted 253 articles at Owning A Café including this one. For all those posts, this blog received 456 comments including my responses to some of them while my WP-Spamfree reported 5,108 spams caught or filtered. I do not have the approximate number of visitors because I changed from one site monitor to other until I settled down to using WP-Stats some three (3) months ago and its record currently shows 75,000+ total views. Take note that these statistics were achieved despite the more than two (2) months temporary stoppage in my blogging due to the disaster I had when my place got flooded due to Typhoon Ondoy in September 26, 2009.

On the achievement side, Owning A Café got nominated and landed as a national finalist in the Blog of the Year – Business Category of the 2009 Philippine Blog Awards. This blog currently has Google PageRank 3 and Alexa Rating of 310,212 (it was already 160,000+ before I stop blogging temporarily). More than anything, what I treasure most among my achievements are the positive reviews and comments that this blog received from my peers in the blogosphere.

As a birthday celebrant, it is customary for me to make a wish that I hope to become true within this 2010 so here is my utmost dream for Owning A Cafe for this year. I wish to reach more of my target audience for my blogs and these are the stakeholders in the Philippine i-cafe industry. I want to be of real service to them by providing useful information that could help make a better i-café industry in the coming days and years.
