Announcing “The Kick-Off”
This is my 100th blog post and I would like to thank you for being with me in my 112th day of blogging. I hope you liked what I am writing here and that you continue visiting this site. It is my honor to have all of you here at Owning a Café.
I would like to make this blog memorable by announcing the holding of The Kick-Off, a very important event for the Philippine café industry. Organized by the concerned individuals and associations, the event will be the first of its kind in the industry and it is aimed at launching the initiative to form a national body that will will work for the betterment of the internet café business in the country.
I have already discussed the need to have a national body that will represent the interest of café owners. In the working papers that the convening body prepared, The Kick-Off event that will be held on May 27, 2009 at Max’s Restaurant, Gateway-Cubao will be attended by nearby ICAs (Internet Café Associations), individual café owners who do not have ICAs in their areas and representatives of big computer companies and government agencies.
Aside from the acquaintance activities in the whole day affair (8:00AM to 5:00PM), a workshop among the café owners to identify the needs of the industry and lay down the steps to legal formation of the national body. The results of the workshop will be presented to the attending representative of the concerned government agency in the afternoon before the event closes.
The participation of around eighty (80) café owners is being solicited for the event. A website for the purpose of disseminating the information on the initiative to form the body was created at http://kick-off.ning.com/ . All café owners, including those who can’t attend the event because of their distance from the venue, are encouraged to join the site.
A big congratulations on your 100th post. On my blog, I totally forgot about the number of posts..
And I hope that the kick off will be a success. It is really needed specially by those cafe owners that are new to the business or just want to really know the right stuff.
More power to your blog. It is very informative.
Again thank you for the comment. I am using Cystats to monitor my site and this is reason why I can enumerate its statistical data. Cystats is the similar and somewhat better than Google Analytics.
I am using Google Analytics before, after reading about Cystats from your blog, I installed it and use it. Good thing with your blog is you have a “niche”. Currently, I don’t (not that inspired to write also as of now) have one.
