I really wonder and made me think why CJ corona or his wife bought all these condos. Bakit condo? Lahat na yata ng mga posh condos ng iba ibang developers ay meron silang unit. Whether they sold it back after acquiring it, the question still is why all these condos. Why not buy a lot or house and lot? Why these condos? Napapaisip tuloy ako if these are not gifts by developers to CJ Corona in exchange for something.

It is clear to me that the prosecution is not as good as the defense in presenting their case. But nonetheless, the evidence presented by the prosecution are so overwhelming that they cannot be disputed. All the defense can do with all their trial expertise is hanapan ng butas ang kaso at ipanalo sa technicalities. Whatever the defense do, it is still obviously clear, all these properties cannot be explained how they were acquired, the resources of how they were being acquired, etc. And to think nasa article 2 palang and pinipresenta.

Sad to say, with all fairness that I could think of, CJ corona is guilty. He should resign for what is left of his dignity.

I don't think that it is in the best interest of the country to have the chief justice resign. If the prosecution is 100% sure that the chief justice betrayed the public trust and it has evidence in its possession, it is their duty to present the evidence for the senator-judges to peruse.

And besides, what ever happened to the presumption of innocence until one is proven guilty? The burden of proof lies on the accuser not the accused.

The Philippines has had enough people power in the past. We need the rule of law to prevail and we have in our constitution processes that allow the people to remove the high and mighty from office.

The impeachment process is a long and tedious one. We should all be patient and wait for the verdict.

CJ Corona's defenders seem determined to move for the inhibition of all senator-judges perceived as either party mates of P-noy in the Liberal Party or allies such as Senators Lacson, Escudero and Pimentel. As soon as they start to act like Ddrilon during the impeachment proceedings, expect the Corona camp to call quickly for their inhibition. The more senator-judges they manage to cause inhibition, the stronger the chances for acquittal.

News reports seem unanimous that the prosecution is performing badly as compared to the high caliber performance of the defense. Considering the strong possibility of CJ Corona's acquittal based on technicalities, not on the weakness or lack of evidence, the continued stay of CJ Corona in the Supreme Court will never repair the tarnished image and integrity of the judiciary as an institution.

In the first place, CJ Corona lacks delicadeza in accepting his midnight appointment from the outgoing president in violation of the Constitution. Not even its ratification by the 8 SC appointees of the outgoing president will dispel the public perception that the CJ Corona led Supreme Court will protect the interests of the Arroyos come what may.

As CJ Corona is already a damaged goods before the eyes of the people, the executive and the lower house of the legislative, his continued stay will bring the judiciary deeper into the pits.

most of the time i ignore these things.but i must admit, whenever i read about mine, can't help but relate to what it's saying about me. it's not bad at all to live by these, but at the end of the day, it is us who holds our successes. it is us who set our life's directions

Hi Tony,

Thank you for the visit and the comment. You said it right. The best thing we could wish is for CJ Corona to resign now. While I read somewhere that he will lose all of his separation benefits if he do so (he should have resigned before the trial if he wants to enjoy the benefits), he should consider resigning for his own sake and that of our country.
